Immune Support

Immune Support

Horses face immunity challenges throughout their life:

At birth
Immunoglobulin colostrum content plays an important role in foal vitality and the horse’s future ability to cope with pathogens. Colostrum quality can vary, and the immunoglobulin content can be too low to ensure adequate protection to the foal. The mare can be prepared starting one month before foaling to one month after to ensure optimal colostrum quality.
At weaning
Stress due to separation from the mare and diet transition can leave the horse exposed to pathogens.
At training
Horses will face important stressors due to increased exercise, contact with new humans, moving stables and more.
During competition
Horses will be co-mingled with other horses from different stables, which increases the risk of getting new pathogens.
When they get older
As with all animals, immune systems will be less efficient as horses age.

LALPROBIOME offers solutions selected from nature for leisure and athletic horses to help cope with some of the challenges of modern equine housing, competition, and training. Working with nutritional solutions is a way to improve equine health, which can improve well-being.
