Yeast derivatives, including yeast cell walls, are well known for their benefits in animal and human nutrition. They are mainly used to (1) help balance the intestinal microflora (2) help stimulate the host’s natural defenses. A few years ago, thanks to an ambitious R&D program on yeast characterization, Lallemand Animal Nutrition presented the feed market with a new generation of yeast derivatives: YANG. Today, research and trials allow us to confirm the benefits of using YANG under major challenges of the day-to-day lives of dogs and cats.
