Emotions, body language and mood. How well do we know our dogs?
National Pet Month raises awareness of responsible pet ownership through their educational campaigns and resources across various platforms. NPM celebrates pet ownership, sharing the many benefits of our cherished companions across the UK. The campaign is run every year from 1st April to 1st May by National Office of Animal Health (NOAH) and UK Pet Food. Throughout the month they feature live broadcasts, blogs and articles from pet and vet professionals, covering four key topics including the five welfare needs, companionship, behaviour, health and diet.
Lallemand Animal Nutrition have had the pleasure of writing a blog to support National Pet Month this year. Featuring in week 2, we had a focus on behaviour and how we may be able to characterise our dogs’ behaviour to better understand their mood state.
Featuring valuable knowledge, insight and explanations from Dr. Robert Falconer-Taylor, BVetMed, DipCABT, MRCVS, Emotions-R-Us, along with our new online PetWAG tool, it’s an interesting and insightful blog for all dog owners.
